Welcome to the Western Heritage website!  My name is Mr. Christian D'Annibale, and I am the new Western Heritage teacher for the Steel Team.  I am very excited about this year and am so glad to have gotten it started on such a great note.  I wanted to give the parents, guardians, and students of the Steel Team a little bit of information about myself.

 

I am currently living in Shippensburg.  I got my bachelor's degree at Shippensburg University and am currently pursuing my master's degree there as well.  I spent 5 years on the SU track and field team as a javelin thrower where I was an All-American and more importantly, met my fiance who was my teammate!  We have two dogs and will be getting married next Summer.  I have spent a little time in careers outside of education, and found that teaching is the only career that makes me happy.  I am so excited to have the opportunity to get to know these students and educate them to the best of my abilities. 

 

This course is a very fun one, and I think that your students will have a great time this year.  We will be studying the history and cultures of people who lived from the Cradle of Civilization in the Middle East up through the Age of Exploration in Europe.  We'll be using homework, quizzes, and fun projects to assess learning throughout the year.  I know that I am going to have fun teaching this course, and I hope that your students will have fun with it as well.
