There is NO fee to use the mySchoolBucks service to set up an account and view your child's meal purchases, balance and to set up low balance email notices. There is a fee if you are using mySchoolBucks service to make an online payment

In School Payments
Families also have the option of adding funds to their child's account with cash or check (preferred). We are not responsible for lost cash, we encourage sending a check. Checks can be made out to "MASD Food Service" in an envelope with your students name, amount of the deposit and "Meal Money" written on the outside of the envelope. Students will give their homeroom teacher the envelope which will be added to their account.
There will be a $10.00 fee for all returned checks for insufficient funds.
Negative Account Balances
State law prevents food service staff from telling students about negative balances unless students ask. E-mails will be sent out informing parents/guardians of a negative balance. Students will NEVER be denied a meal for lack of funds. A La Carte items may only be purchased by students with money in their account. When a student owes for five or more meals the District shall make at least two attempts to contact their parent/guardian.
