Head Lice Resources
MASD follows the guidance of the PA Department of Health and the American Academy of Pediatrics specific to head lice. We understand that few things cause parents more anxiety than a case of head lice. We do not exclude students for head lice. If we suspect your child has head lice, we will check them. We do not conduct whole-class checks or mass screenings for head lice. We only notify the parent/guardian of a student who is identified as having head lice and recommend corrective measures. Please see the resources below for additional information on diagnosing head lice and what you should do about it. If you have a head lice concern specific to your child, please contact your school nurse.
