Reservations

Each participant must be registered with complete registration information. Participants must be 6 years of age or older, an adult must accompany participants under 21 years of age. If you are unable to attend a trip, you may find a substitute to take your tickets or if we have a waitlist we can try to fill your seat. If a replacement is not found, you will be held responsible financially.

Payment

Full payment is due at registration for day trips. Overnight trips require half of the payment at registration. No refunds will be given unless the Recreation Department cancels the trip.

Cancellations

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a trip due to low enrollment and/or other circumstances. If a trip is cancelled, all registrants will be notified and all fees will be refunded. Trips will not be cancelled due to inclement weather. If conditions force a State of Emergency all registrants will be notified of the cancellation by phone.

Trip Escorts

Trip Escorts have the right to decline, accept or retain any person as a member of the trip; when such action is deemed to be in the best interest of the health, safety or general welfare of the trip group or the individual concerned.

Itinerary

Schedule times are approximate. Reasonable substitutions for some items included in the printed trip description may be necessary in certain cases. Refunds are not given for delays or changes in the itinerary due to weather, traffic, security, delays, crowds, mechanical breakdown, or other factors beyond the Recreation Department’s control. Mechanicsburg Area Parks & Recreation Department is not liable for cost of tickets, meals or expenses due to schedule changes.

Tips & Gratuities

The Trip escort will pass around an envelope labeled “Driver’s Tip’ and all money received will go directly to the driver.  If you feel that you have received great service from the bus driver, we encourage you to show your appreciation by providing a modest tip (one to two dollars each per person).
