When accelerating in math, students are skipping over one and sometimes two years of grade level content. To help minimize any gaps in learning, the completion of an online mathematics course through CK-12 will be required for any student selecting to accelerate to Grade 7 Math or Algebra 1. This course will not provide students with the same level of in-depth learning as they would receive in the actual course, but will help bridge some of the gaps that could arise and give them a better chance for success. The online component must be completed prior to the beginning of the school year.
