Dear Future Wildcat Family,
What an exciting time for your family! We are thrilled to personally welcome you to Kindergarten Academy at Mechanicsburg Area School District.
Our full-day kindergarten program offers comprehensive instruction in social, emotional, and academic skills, laying the foundation for a lifetime of school success. We can’t wait to be part of your child’s educational journey. Please read below to learn more about when and how to register your future Wildcat to begin Kindergarten in the fall of 2026.
Who is eligible? Children who live in Mechanicsburg Area School District and turn five years old on or before September 1, 2026, are invited to join us for the 2026-2027 school year.
How to Register. We have a simple process to get your future Wildcat enrolled:
Pre-Register Online: Visit www.mbgsd.org/registration > Online Registration > Sapphire Online Registration > Create a New Account.
Schedule Your Appointment: After you submit your form through Sapphire, keep an eye on your email. We will send you a link to schedule an in-person registration meeting with our District Registrar (appointments begin January 2026).
The Wildcat Expedition (more details below): At your registrar appointment, you will sign up for our special orientation to take place at Kindergarten Academy for you and your incoming Kindergartener.
Save the Date for The Wildcat Expedition: We have a wonderful adventure planned for you and your child! While you visit information tables throughout our building and meet our team, your child will go on their first Wildcat "adventure." Your young explorer will complete an Adventure Guide with a staff member, which includes screenings and fun activities.
When: April 7, April 16, or April 22, 2026, with slots available between 3 and 5:45 p.m.
