📸 BACK-TO-SCHOOL THROWBACK // Before they were leading our schools, our departments, and our programs, they were sitting in elementary classrooms—just like our Wildcats are today! 🐾 From back-to-school outfits to first-day jitters, our administrators were once students learning their ABCs and 123s too.

As we welcome our Wildcats back for another year of learning and laughter, enjoy these throwbacks of a few of your MASD leaders during their school days. Who can you identify?

Who knows… maybe one of this year’s KinderCats will be an administrator in the future! 💛

From exploring their classrooms to meeting new friends (and their amazing teachers!), our littlest learners are already showing BIG school spirit.

Here’s to a year of curiosity, kindness, and countless “firsts.” Welcome to the Wildcat family, Class of 2038—we’re so glad you’re here! 🎒💛

BACK TO SCHOOL 2025 // Last week, Mechanicsburg Middle School was buzzing with excitement as students and families explored the building ahead of the first day! 🐾 From warm welcomes by Dr. Bitz and Mr. Yohn to new friendships (and a visit from one of our favorite four-legged staff members, Carson 🐶), the smiles were endless.

We can’t wait to hear and see our hallways come alive with laughter, joy, and even more smiles later this month! 🎒

🎉 Join us in congratulating Dr. Alan Vandrew — Wildcat Class of '76 and our longtime Chief Financial Officer — on his induction into the MASH Alumni Association Hall of Fame! Dr. Vandrew was honored earlier this summer for his nearly 40 years of service to public education, including two decades of dedicated leadership here in Mechanicsburg. A champion of responsible budgeting, capital improvements, and student opportunity, his impact on our Wildcat community will be felt for generations to come. Well deserved, Dr. Vandrew! 👏 🔗 Read more: https://mashalumni.org/halloffame/2025/235-alan-vandrew.html 📸 Photo courtesy Dr. Bitz. #WildcatPride

🌳 As July comes to a close, we would be remiss if we didn't recognize Park and Recreation Month, and celebrate not only the incredible team that brings our programs and events to life all year long, but also our amazing staff who bring the magic to our Playground Program and Summer Adventure Camp.

From leading games and crafts to organizing youth sports, special events, and community programs, both our counselors and recreation team go above and beyond to make every moment meaningful. Their energy, kindness, and dedication create spaces where fun, learning, and connection thrive — all year long.

👏 Help us give a big THANK YOU to the heart of these programs — our amazing recreation staff! We couldn’t do it without you.
