🎨 CREATIVITY ON DISPLAY // We’re excited to share that artwork by numerous MASH students was showcased at the 15th Annual Artistic Expressions Central Pennsylvania Student Art Show.

Artistic Expressions showcases outstanding student artwork from secondary schools across Central Pennsylvania, bringing together young artists with a passion for creativity, collaboration, and the fine arts. We're proud to have submitted artwork from the following students: Vada C. (grade 11), Sarah W. (grade 11), Nora S. (grade 10), Lillian H. (grade 9), Kayleah S. (grade 12), Anna G. (grade 11), Corban S. (grade 11), Micah O.(grade 11), and 2 pieces for Cora R. (grade 12).

With 75 pieces submitted to this year’s exhibition, we’re thrilled to see so many of our Wildcats recognized for their talent, hard work, and artistic vision: 💛

🎨✋ STRONGER TOGETHER // MASH students recently came together to celebrate the many cultures, backgrounds, experiences, and traditions that make our school community so special.

As part of the annual Cultural Heritage Day celebration, students collaborated on a colorful handprint mural that will proudly brighten the halls of MASH for years to come. More than just artwork, the mural serves as a lasting reminder of connection, belonging, and the value of learning from one another. 💛

🧦 HEY ASHLEY, YOU KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF // Ashley Ibaugh, Instructional Assistant at Northside Elementary School, has stepped up in such a meaningful way to support our Wildcats. 💛

When additional support was needed across multiple classrooms, Ashley jumped in with a positive, can-do attitude and a heart fully focused on students. She has gone above and beyond to help ensure students continue receiving the academic and social support they need to be successful each day.

🧦 HEY DIRK, YOU KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF // Dirk Wiley, Assistant Facilities Director, went above and beyond to make something special possible for our Wildcats.

After a Wildcat Foundation grant funded a classroom swing in Terrin Sheeder’s MDS classroom at Upper Allen, Dirk stepped in to ensure the project could be completed safely. When a suitable mount wasn’t available within budget, he researched, designed, and built a custom ceiling mount himself.

Thanks to his creativity and dedication, students now have access to a meaningful sensory and movement experience right in their classroom. Scroll back through our feed to find photos of our Wildcats using the swing for the first time. Those smiles! 😊

📚 CONNECTIONS ACROSS GRADES // Mechanicsburg Middle School 8th graders from Angel Leggore’s English class recently spent time at Shepherdstown Elementary School, sharing their work with younger students and building connections as they stepped into leadership roles.

Bringing their self-created biography children’s books, they read with and inspired our Shep Wildcats, turning each page into a moment of curiosity and excitement. It was a chance for younger students to see what’s possible and for older students to lead and connect, all the while making a meaningful impact.

💛 TAKING CARE OF OURSELVES // Wildcats at Northside Elementary School had a great time at their recent Self-Care Fair, exploring simple, practical strategies they can use throughout their day.

Led by school counselor Bethany Kline and school social worker Kelly Herman, students rotated through interactive stations focused on things like building positive habits, calming their minds, and knowing when to use these tools. Along the way, they created their own self-care bags to take home. A fun, hands-on experience with tools students can carry with them wherever they go. 🐾
