💛 IT TAKES A VILLAGE // Behind so many of the opportunities and moments that make our district special are volunteers who show up, pitch in, and make a difference.

Whether supporting events, lending a helping hand, sharing their time, or simply saying “yes” when help is needed, your generosity helps create meaningful experiences for our Wildcats.

Thank you to each and every volunteer who supports our schools and programs. We couldn’t do it without you. 🐾

🧦 HEY MARY, YOU KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF // Mary Haskins, Learning Support Teacher at Broad Street Elementary School, reminds us that sometimes the biggest impact happens in the quiet moments.

During an unexpected after-school pickup delay in the Spring, Mary brought a calm, caring presence that helped a student feel supported and reassured. Through thoughtful conversation and gentle guidance, she turned a moment of uncertainty into an opportunity for reflection, problem-solving, and trust.

Thank you, Mary, for leading with empathy and creating spaces where students feel cared for each day. 💛

🧦 HEY EMMA, YOU KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF // Emma Ibaugh, PCA at Upper Allen Elementary School, brings kindness, patience, and a team-first mindset to every day.

Emma consistently goes above and beyond to support not only the student she works with, but many others as well. Earlier this year, she was spotted helping both her student and another classmate during buddy reading, creating an experience where everyone felt seen, supported, and successful.

Thank you, Emma, for the care, compassion, and flexibility you bring to our classrooms each day. We’re lucky to have you on Team Wildcat. 💛

🌺 FLASHBACK FRIDAY // Wildcats at Mechanicsburg Middle School wrapped up the 2025-2026 school year by celebrating our 8th graders with a Luau.

From smiles and laughter to games, music, and time with friends, it was a great way to celebrate memories made and the exciting road ahead.

A huge thank you to our incredible parent volunteers, staff, and Student Advisory for making this event possible.

We can’t wait to see all that the Class of 2030 will accomplish as they move onto MASH. 💛

🧦 HEY CODY, YOU KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF // Our summer celebration series continues as we keep recognizing some of the amazing Wildcats who knocked our socks off this year.

Today, we’re celebrating Cody Marker, Assistant Principal at MASH!

When student crossing coverage was needed, Cody stepped in without hesitation ... even in the pouring rain and without an umbrella. His response was simple: he saw a need and filled it.

It may seem like a small moment, but it reflects something bigger: showing up, being dependable, and doing what’s needed to support students and staff. This is the #APlife!

Thank you, Cody, for the countless ways you lead by example each day. 💛

🧦 HEY MARY, YOU KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF // We’ve been saving up several of our You Knocked Our Socks Off celebrations so we can keep recognizing our amazing staff all summer long. First up...

Congratulations to Mary Dankosky of Elmwood Academy, who, with administrative support, helped reimagine 4th-grade science by creating learning experiences that spark curiosity and put students in the driver’s seat. Through phenomena-based investigations, students are asking questions, thinking deeply, and taking ownership of their learning.

Her willingness to try new approaches, reflect, and continue refining her practice is helping create meaningful experiences for Wildcats every day.

Thank you, Mary, for your commitment to innovation and student growth. 💛

🎓 FLASHBACK // Two weeks later and we’re still smiling over memories from celebrating the Class of 2026.

Some of our favorite moments happened before and after crossing the stage. The waves, the searching through the crowd, and the smiles when Wildcats spotted the family, friends, staff, and supporters who helped them get here. 💛

🫧 CHALK IT UP TO A GREAT DAY // One of the best parts of the last few days of school? Slowing down just enough to enjoy the simple things. Our KinderCats (who are now BIG 1st graders ☺️) wrapped up the year with bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and plenty of smiles. We even caught Dr. Bitz getting in on the bubble action! ☀️💛

🌟 BEST & BRIGHTEST // Congratulations to MASH senior William Coffman on being named one of PennLive's Best & Brightest students for the Class of 2026. 🎓

This fall, he plans to attend Penn State Harrisburg's accelerated dual-degree program in finance and business administration. Will says MASH band director and music teacher Benjamin Goldsborough has been a mentor throughout his academic and musical career.

🎭 FUTURE-FOCUSED WILDCAT // Meet Haylee, a third-grader at Northside Elementary School. Haylee tells us she dreams of becoming an actress one day. She loves the idea of making people smile through her performances while continuing to grow and challenge herself along the way.

(We also hear from staff at Northside that Haylee is quite the little artist, specifically creating beautiful portraits.)

We can't wait to see where her determination and big dreams take her in the years ahead. 💛
